Prior to his current position, Mr. Williams served as director, Military Surface Deployment and Distribution Command Transportation Engineering Agency and United States Transportation Command Joint Distribution Process Analysis Center, Scott AFB, Ill. from Oct. 2007 – Nov. 2009. He served as acting director, SDDC-TEA (April – Oct. 2007); chief of the Deployability Division (March 1997 – March 2007) and chief of the Engineering and Simulation Technology Branch, SDDC-TEA, at Newport News, Va. (Oct. 1993 – Feb. 1997). Mr. Williams’ education includes a Master of Science in national security strategy from the National War College, Fort McNair, Washington, D.C. (2001) and a Bachelor of Science in general engineering from the United States Military Academy, West Point, N.Y., (1983). He has also completed specialized training in Leadership for a Democratic Society from the Federal Executive Institute, and the Department of Defense Executive Leadership Development Program, 1992. His awards and honors include the Army Superior Civilian Service Award, Commander’s Award for Civilian Service, and the Achievement Medal for Civilian Service. Panel Members: Mr. Mark Averill
He was commissioned into the Army as a Transportation Corps Officer upon his graduation from the United States Military Academy in 1982. He holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in National Security and Public Affairs and a Master of Strategic Studies from the Marine Corps University. BG(R) Doornink’s Army career spanned a variety of command, logistics leadership and staff positions across all echelons. Her last assignment was as the deputy commanding general and director of operations for Surface Deployment and Distribution Command, where she directed surface deployments of U.S. Forces to Afghanistan and Iraq, as well as their surface sustainment support. She was inducted into the DLA Hall of Fame in 2007 for her major contributions as the CG of the Defense Distribution Center. Barbara Doornink received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from Washington State University, a Masters of Science from the University of Southern California in Information Systems Management and a Masters of Science from the Industrial College of the Armed Forces in National Resource Management. Mr. Kenwell joined Maersk Inc. in February 2004 as the Director of Integrated Marketing and has extensive sales, marketing and general management background in the transportation and He also served with CSX Transportation, where he was Vice President of Sales for North Mr. Kenwell earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Villanova University, and completed the Ms. Lisa Roberts
Prior to assuming her current position, Ms. Roberts served on the Headquarters, U.S. Army staff from 1995 to 2000. She was a Deputy Project Manager for the Deputy Secretary of Defense initiative to reengineer personal property processes. From 1992 to 1995, Ms. Roberts was a traffic management specialist assigned to the U.S. Army in Germany where she managed the Army’s program to consolidate numerous transportation offices into one. She also served as the lead logistics coordinator and implemented an operational plan to close the Frankfurt Area Support Group and to relocate Headquarters V Corps. Ms. Roberts earned a Master’s Degree in National Resource Strategy from the National Defense University, Industrial College of the Armed Forces, and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Transportation/Logistics and Marketing from The Ohio State University. She is the recipient of the Achievement Medal for Civilian Service and Government Executive’s Travel Manager of the Year Award.
